Description

This course does NOT meet the state Mandated Reporter requirement for license renewal. You can find that course through DCFS here. However, this course does count for 1 Category 1 CME.

Do you know when you are to report suspected abuse, neglect, communicable diseases, sexually transmissible diseases and lead poisoning?  As important as all of these issues are to our practices, we find that many of our doctors do not know where the reporting lines begin and end.

"Patient presents with STD. and is receiving for such. Can you assume that it has been reported or are mandated? Does the State have follow-up mechanism that avoids redundance? [Editor's note - based on the information we have here at the ICS, the doctor can assume that the STD has previously been reported if the patient is under the care of another physician for that condition.]"

Kelly Astrid M - Chicago, Illinois

"Very helpful information including the exact laws and contact info. Every chiro in Illinois should watch this and keep the handouts."
