The Getaway – DOT Medical Examiner

Total CME Credit Hours: 8 Category I (Formal)

Description

Chiropractic physicians who meet certain qualifications may medically certify a commercial driver's license (CDL) applicant to drive trucks or other commercial vehicles. This session provides an overview of the guidelines, requirements, principles, and practices required to perform a physical that will satisfy Department of Transportation (DOT) Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) requirements. This session will provide the training required to allow the participant to take the certification test and register with the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners. This course also fulfills the 10-year re-certification requirement for chiropractic physicians previously certified by NRCME.

This educational program was originally presented on June 15, 2024, and is available On-Demand through July 1, 2024. The program is sponsored by the Illinois Chiropractic Society and ProHealth Seminars.

Dennis M - Marion, Illinois

"He should spend less time on intro and examples of patients he helped and stay focused on material. He rushed some material as a result. He briefly discussed the exam itself, about 10 sec. "

Corey W - McHenry, Illinois

"I enjoyed the course, however there could have been more time spent on realistic clinical expectations. "

Tyler H - Ottawa, Illinois
