Total CME Credit Hours: 1 Category I (Formal)
There is a lot of confusion in our profession about what type of care qualifies for third-party reimbursement. The truth is that there is a distinct 'gray' area between the 'white' of active treatment and the 'black' maintenance treatment that is often unclear when defining 'covered' vs 'not covered' chiropractic care. We believe that more visits would likely be covered by payers on appeal or review if the documentation told a more clear story when the care delivered falls into the gray areas that we define as 'incident' or 'burst'. This webinar will outline the 'picture' that should be drawn within your documentation when the patient presents for other than distinctly active or maintenance treatment.
