Michael K. Layland, MD., was raised in the Chicago suburbs and joined the Ear, Nose, and Throat Center in 2004. He attended college at Duke University and attended medical school at University of Illinois at Chicago where he was selected to membership in Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed the Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery residency at Washington University in St. Louis. He joined the staff at Lutheran General Hospital in 2004.
Dr. Layland practices all aspects of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and has special expertise in medical and minimally invasive surgical treatment of sinus disease, treatment of tumors of the head and neck, salivary gland and thyroid gland diseases, hearing disorders and the treatment of snoring and sleep apnea.
He is Board Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.
